Embassy Swimming Pool - Skegness

Embassy Swimming Pool, Skegness features a traditional 25 metre, 6 lane indoor pool and an outdoor pool with relaxation areas.

The existing ventilation system for the indoor pool had reached the end of its useful life, so East Lindsey District Council asked ESG to design and build a new ventilation system that provided better conditions and lower running costs.

The existing ventilation plant used run around coil system for heat recovery. ESG designed, installed and commissioned a new system incorporating a desiccant dehumidifier and low level extract. ESG’s new equipment provided a higher ventilation rate, was built on site and installed in the existing plant space with minimal modification to the plant room.

The new system has improved conditions, lowered running costs and improved ventilation efficiency, as confirmed by Frank Gilliatt of East Lindsey District Council; “System has achieved everything we hoped for, greatly improved”
